My Outlook that was installed in December on my PC is constantly “synchronizing” folders – trash, inbox, sent items, etc. My emails come thru just fine on my cell phone and Ipad. Please tell me how to stop or disable the folders synchronizing. It can do it when I open it, but not every second.

And I couldn’t find anything – tool bar- anywhere on outlook I don’t think these apply to Outlook When you use imap every mail folder syncs to the server unless you move it to a pst file or leave it in a pst file.
Outlook will let you sync only newer messages by adjusting the sync slider but that can cause outlook to continuously sync as it removes older mail and downloads new messages. Is the data file with contacts a pst or are they in a folder labeled this computer only? Pst is good. In reply to MareTrotKell’s post on March 8, Who is your email provider?
This is beyond my computer skills. No clue what you are asking about a pst file. My outlook was set up by Geek Squad and all my old emails brought over. If this continues, I will find another platform to receive emails. I have been using Outlook application since and have been experiencing this same issue.
Have you tried recreating your profile in your Outlook app? If not yet, you may try it by following these steps: 1. Close your Outlook application 2. Select Large icons from the View by: list 4. Select the Mail bit Icon 5. Click on Show Profiles Click Add You can enter any desired name. Follow the prompts to set it up. It may automatically configure you account or it may ask you to input your email address and password. At the bottom, under Always use this profile, select the new profile from the list.
